Friend Development- Pathfinder Ranger

31 January 2016

I would advise the Director to pre-arrange specialized speakers for this session. You can arrange for a person such as a social worker, psychologist or a person of such caliber to present on this session. The topics for them to touch on are; self-confidence; friendship; social graces and will power.

Do note that the curriculum requires at least 2 of the topics but my experience with Pathfinder Investiture has been that Invigilators can ask the Pathfinders on any of the 4 topics, rather equip them on all 4 topics.

As a Director, you need to give, whoever you appointed the task of presenting on these topics, a scope of which specific areas they need to present on. A lot can be said on all those topics, your scope will provide a guideline of which questions the presentation needs to answer. You also need to allocate a set time for the presentation and ensure that the Pathfinders are on time so as to not interfere with your time allocation.

Whenever you call on such a speaker, I recommend you arrange a token of appreciation and preferably assign a Pathfinder to be the one to give this token to the guest presenter. Furthermore, encourage the Pathfinders to pay attention by arranging a test after every such session.
